Everything Connects is the title of a new book by Faisal Hoque. I think the title is also a great description of how we should approach knowledge and learning. In academia, we tend to think of separate disciplines and often don't see the connections that exist among the various approaches to knowledge. But, whether you're a biologist, psychologist, philosopher, historian, artist, what you do connects with what all the others are doing. I want to examine these connections in some practical and helpful ways for learners and educators.
I want to offer my readers a challenge to help me illustrate this idea that everything connects. Provide me with the following:
1. Your least favorite subject. 2. Your most favorite subject or activity (doesn't have to be academic). I'll show you how they connect! If you are an educator or homeschooler this may be a good challenge to present to your kids. I look forward to the challenge of making connections.
