I'll admit it. I've not been the most consistent and engaging blogger lately. But, in the new year I am resolved to post regularly and to help insure this I am committing to a new schedule of posts.
Mondays: I will be posting material related to education including higher education, unschooling, and homeschooling.
Wednesdays: I will be posting material related to philosophy including applied philosophy, philosophical counseling, and other interesting philosophical topics.
Fridays: I will be posting material related to my musical projects including new sample tracks, updates on progress, and general thoughts on music related issues.
I hope to provide you with some engaging, interesting, thought provoking content. I have several exciting projects which I will be working on in the new year.
Madlen Dances: My sister-in-law is a very talented dancer (http://madlendances.com) and I am in the process of recording some dance music for her which will be a combination of several world genres including Arabic, Celtic, Latin, and African musics. The CD/digital download for this project should be ready to release in early 2015.
Stages: I am also working on re-recording and re-releasing several older CDS and this one will be the next to be redone. Stages was originally composed in the early 90s as music for the opening of the IMAX Theatre at the Louisville Science Center. Since then I have been working to record it using better quality recording and sound technology than I had access to at that time.
Step Aside and They'll Learn: I am also in the process of publishing a new book of educational essays which will be available in 2015. The essays will consist of thoughts on disruptive changes in higher education, applying principles of unschooling to higher education, and other timely thoughts related to learning. Included in this volume is my series of essays on the importance of learning the major subjects in an academic curriculum.
Other Projects: I have plans for several other projects that will get started in 2015 though they may not be completed until later. Among these are several new music projects and a book project. More details on these in future blog posts.
Until then, have a happy holiday season and I will see you soon!
